do you wanna build a snowman?

I think the last snow I saw was in 2018. In 2021, there was a dusting, but it didn't even last until the evening. With climate change and all the resulting environmental disasters, the magic of snow has also disappeared, at least where I live. As a child, I don't even remember a winter without snow. So a day like today was like a fairytale for me, so I wanted to leave a written thought and a few photos of a day when I felt like a child again. In the meantime, I also took a few photos of my sweater Fuxia Hoody Sweater.

into the future...

...I wish to enter lightly into the new year and dance gently on this earth...

the journey of Sweater Design School and my first knitting pattern writing

I've been knitting for years and as a self-taught it has been a rather slow and fun journey. I've always done it just for pure pleasure and self-sustenance. In 2021, fresh like everyone else, from the various lock downs and the uncertainty that the pandemic has brought to our hearts and lives, I decided that I needed something well structured and safe and so I enrolled in the Sister Mountain Sweater Design School. The beautiful 12-week course consisted of learning the method for creating original project patterns, complete with size grading and all the information to be knitted by others for themselves. I must say that I found myself being rather slow and today, at the end of 2022, I finally decided to complete my first pattern. My Fuxia Oversized Hoody Sweater pattern will be available soon !!!

same path, different mood

...I see this tree every day driving to my studio. I see it in so many different ways, every time there is something different, the weather, the light, my mood, a thought...anything. Today, like everyday, I drove by and he called me somehow...I had to stop, turn back the car and go a little closer...the tree was talking to me. The fog completely erased the background. An entire castle magically disappeared. I took this picture and every time I look at it the tree still talks to me. Magical power!

free hand embroidery

I started a new project of hand embroidered garments. Let's see where it will take me!

I made this piece because I was always listening to an old song "lucky lips" by Ruth Brown and I was thinking about the cool girls from Greese (ok, please don’t do the math!)..:)

I thought...'I want to make something for me and my girl friends!!'

Made of 100% vicuna wool, it will be the perfect cool and sassy jacket for next spring! ‘Skwod’!!
